Refugees 4 Refugees Project
What is the Project?
The Refugees 4 Refugees mentoring project provides remote, refugee led mentoring, to support refugee and migrant families in integrating into the UK system with assistance in language, culture, accessing education and welfare support. Our mentors all have lived experience of migration to the UK, and have received high quality training in providing psychosocial and welfare support to families and individuals. Our mentors speak many languages including Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Ukrainian in addition to English.
The project is run and led by our Project Coordinators - Wafa and Abuzar, who also have lived experience of forced migration. They are responsible for networking with initial partners for referrals, setting up and coordinating initial training and supervising volunteers.
Who is it for?
The project is open to all migrants in need of support - refugee, asylum seeker or any other legal status - as long as it does not duplicate any other support you are receiving elsewhere.
